The Russian medium-haul passenger airliner Tu–214 is the development of the Tu-204 aircraft. The increase in take-off weight made it possible to increase the flight range. The ergonomics of the passenger compartment has been improved, the dimensions and location of the doors and hatches of the luggage compartments have been changed. Commercial operation of the aircraft began in 2001. Serial production of the aircraft is still ongoing, and it is planned to increase the rate of production of the Tu-214.
