The Soviet T-62M tank is an upgraded version of the T-62. The tank, which was adopted in the early 1960s, had already become obsolete by the early 1980s. To improve his combat qualities, he received reinforced armor for the frontal hull and turret parts. The T-62M was equipped with anti-fog screens, a 9K116-2 Sheksna guided weapons system, a KTD-2 laser rangefinder, and a Cloud smoke grenade launcher unit. The upgraded vehicles were used in the Afghan War, during the conflicts in Chechnya and Syria. The T-62M is still in service today.
