The Leopard 1 is one of Germany's first post-war tanks, developed in the 1960s. The new tank was supposed to be able to withstand the equipment of the Warsaw Pact countries. In 1965, the Leopard 1 main battle tank was put into production, which is still in service with a number of countries.
